a week agoAs a new customer, I was assigned a trainee, which would have been fine with proper supervision—but from the moment I arrived, staff seemed surprised there was even an appointment at 6 pm. When I explained I’d booked a simple wash, trim, and style, the trainee had to ask colleagues how to proceed. My hair didn’t feel properly washed, and throughout the appointment, there were concerning comments such as asking whether shampoo should go first, not wanting to blow dry my hair or hoping to pass it on to someone else, and repeatedly mentioning how tired she was and wanting to go home. It made me feel uncomfortable and not looked after. The blow dry was also difficult, with frequent tugging as she struggled with the equipment. My hairdresser also had to stop 3/4 of the way and the lady who took over seemed a lot more experience and confident, it would’ve been nice to have her from the start. I ultimately lost confidence and chose not to go ahead with the trim. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and left me regretting my visit. I think it’s also important to give customers the choice, if you are going to give them to someone with less experience inform them and adjust the price they pay accordingly - this is standard business practice. I’m happy to pay full price when I feel I’ve received the appropriate service.
